Robin Parkinson grew up in a small town in New Mexico with ancestral Pueblan ruins literally just outside her door. She has always been interested in science of every kind. She went to Brigham Young University, got married, then finished her biology teaching degree at Weber State University in 1986. Over the years she has taught science in high school (biology, chemistry, and physics), junior high (physical-earth science), and elementary (grades 5 and 6).

She enjoying the one-on-one interaction at La Europa. As a teacher she stresses hands-on science to give students the joy of discovery. The opportunity to add art to science provides an interesting new challenge.
