Jeremy Ratliff is doctoral-prepared and board-certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. Jeremy’s journey into healthcare began more than 25 years ago, driven by a passion for improving access to quality mental health services. He believes in the power of hope and empathy resulting in lasting change. Since 2017, he has focused on community mental health, Jdiagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.

At La Europa, Jeremy plays an active role in our holistic approach to care by participating in bi-weekly case reviews for every student. This collaboration ensures his medication management services and recommendations are fully aligned with each student’s overall treatment plan and therapeutic goals. His approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. He draws from multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Psychoanalytic Therapy to create individualized treatment plans that address both immediate needs and long-term goals.

When working with students, Jeremy prioritizes building a safe, nonjudgmental environment where students feel heard and understood. He partners with students and families to set realistic goals, explore medication options, and develop plans that support both recovery and personal growth. Education is a key part of his process as he helps students and their families understand mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and the role of lifestyle choices, social support, and resilience in the healing process.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys life with his wife, Maureen, and their four sons. Whether tackling ambitious home projects, hiking, traveling, or rebuilding car engines together in the garage, family time is at the center of his life. He also enjoys drawing and believes in approaching each day with kindness and a focus on learning from every experience.
