Elise is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over six years of experience in the mental health field. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Social Science and Elementary Education and earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Elise has worked extensively in residential treatment, supporting adolescents navigating eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, impulsivity, and poor coping skills.

Her approach is person-centered, grounded in trust, rapport, and individualized care. Elise tailors her work to each student’s unique needs and draws from several evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Elise’s experience extends to working with students managing substance use, emotional dysregulation, and traits associated with neurodiversity. She approaches these challenges through a compassionate, skills-based lens, helping students develop insight, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.

Elise is passionate about psychoeducation and equipping students with practical tools that foster resilience and sustainable growth. She values collaboration with families, finding great joy in witnessing continued progress long after treatment. Elise often brings her therapy dog, Leia, into sessions - offering warmth, comfort, and a touch of lighthearted energy that helps students feel more at ease. Outside of her clinical work, Elise enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring creative expression through music, textiles, dance, painting, and drawing.
