Originally from Wisconsin, Catherine has built her career around helping adolescents feel understood, supported, and more confident in who they are. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2020 before earning her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2023. Her clinical experience includes private practice, community mental health, and residential treatment, where she has worked with adolescents, young adults, and families.

Catherine believes meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. She takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and strives to create a safe, accepting space where students feel comfortable being themselves and exploring difficult experiences. Her work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and expressive therapy modalities depending on each student’s individual needs.

She works especially well with adolescents who have felt marginalized, overlooked, bullied, misunderstood, or like they simply do not fit in. Catherine has experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, self-harm and suicidal ideation, identity development, and other challenges that can leave young people feeling disconnected from themselves or others.

Outside of sessions, Catherine has an eclectic mix of interests. She enjoys fishing, crocheting, anime, video games, and, of course, Jane Austen. Whether she’s spending time outdoors, working on a new creative project, or getting absorbed in a good story, Catherine enjoys finding new things to learn and plenty of reasons to laugh.
