Talysha received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Westminster College, and is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She has been working with adolescents in higher levels of care for the last decade, beginning as a direct care staff at a residential treatment center. This experience fueled her desire to pursue a clinical degree, where she could help teens and their families reconnect, heal, and find peace after struggle. As a therapist, Talysha has worked in residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care for the past four years. She enjoys the intensity and depth that occurs at the residential level of care, along with the level of coordination and support provided to teens and their families.

Talysha's passion is working with teens, taking a genuine, spunky, authentic approach. She values the balance between validation and nurturing, mixed with challenge and directness. Talysha has strong expertise in working with chronically suicidal youth, presenting at various conferences on this topic; and is skilled in addressing: attachment, adoption, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and identity. Attachment-based, dialectical-behavioral, internal family systems and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy are a few of the therapeutic models Talysha utilizes. She is keenly invested in understanding the underlying experiences, needs and core beliefs that fuel behavior. Through this awareness, empowering change can begin. Talysha has previous experience working with adults with substance use, adults with intellectual disabilities as well as children on the Autism Spectrum providing ABA therapy.
In her spare time, Talysha enjoys roller-skating, shooting archery and spending time with family, her partner and fur-babies. She is a nerd at heart, with a love for Harry Potter (her dog's name is Remus), medieval recreation and reading. As a former DJ, Talysha loves the incorporation of the arts at La Europa
