Sarah is a Certified Social Worker and has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Sarah obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with an emphasis on cultural studies from the University of South Dakota, and a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of North Dakota. She has experience in long-term residential treatment for children, in a behavioral health hospital setting for severe and persistent mental illness, and in a shelter care program for adolescents. Most recently, she worked as an adolescent and family therapist where she facilitated family therapy and treatment groups.

Sarah believes in working from a strengths-based perspective and treats clients and their families with unconditional positive regard. Sarah uses Trauma-Informed Therapies, Family Systems Therapies, CBT, DBT and other methods to treat depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. She is skilled and comfortable using different methods of therapy for youth struggling with substance abuse and will tailor a plan to their specific needs.

Sarah was born and raised in Lead, South Dakota and recently moved to Salt Lake City. She enjoys exploring and traveling internationally, visiting museums, and experiencing new cultures. Sarah loves painting, playing the piano, reading, and learning new things.
