The On Point Program is designed for those students who need less structure than traditional residential treatment, but still need intensive clinical work and skills practice.  The On Point student is not quite ready for the freedom of a transition program.  An On Point student receives residential treatment center services but not the intensive oversight and structure of a residential level of care.

Candidates for the On Point Program:
  • Are currently completing a minimum three-month therapeutic intervention
  • Are not likely to need more than an additional 6 to 8 months of treatment
  • Are not a run risk
  • Are able to keep themselves safe
  • Are demonstrating insight and motivation to change Have minimal to moderate daily impulse control issues
  • Have a family system that is fairly stable and family issues are not likely to extend treatment time
An On Point student is enrolled directly to our 15-bed transition ho, Mosaic House. The student would not have transition level privileges immediately but could earn those privileges in a shorter amount of time than would be expected at a residential treatment center. Students involved in the On Point Program will benefit from the expertise of the La Europa Clinical Team.  They will participate in the same amount of individual, group and family therapy as well as expressive arts therapies that other La Europa Academy students’ receive. On Point students will attend school daily at La Europa and benefit from our highly qualiied, full-time and licensed teachers. Evenings and weekends would include community involvement and recreational activities such as attending cultural events, exercise and enjoying the outdoors. On Point students will work on life skills modules and cook their own meals at the transition home.

Since the On Point Program is part of the La Europa Academy system, a student could be moved to a residential treatment level of care if the On Point Program is not providing enough support and structure.
