Lucy has worked in the field of mental health for the past 6 years and currently holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. Prior to becoming a clinical therapist, Lucy had direct experience working as a front-line staff, and in program management and operations management at various mental health agencies. She has worked along the entire spectrum of care, from outpatient mental health counseling to inpatient hospitalization.

Lucy previously worked in a school-based day treatment program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders where she became proficient in using Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy with students.  She also has significant experience working substance use disorders.  Lucy has experience applying Acceptance and Compassion Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy interventions. She is particularly sensitive to the circumstances that young women often experience prior to and during substance use and co-occurring diagnoses and uses a trauma-informed approach. With this understanding,Lucy remains humble, humorous, and authentic in her practice. Lucy views her clients as experts of their own experience and gently helps them unlock their own answers that may previously have been obscured by deep pain and fear. With a calm and consistent presence, she helps clients reconnect with joy and build alternative strategies to manage difficult emotions.

Lucy was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Salt Lake City in 2013. Lucy prioritizes outdoor adventures during her free time. She can be seen rock climbing in the Wasatch mountains or mountain biking local trails on the weekends. Lucy also enjoys cooking creative meals, tinkering with woodwork projects, and playing 2nd base in a rec softball league. She has a friendly orange cat named Wally and is looking forward to adding a dog to the family soon.
