Lucy Terzis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, moved with her mother, brother and sister to Cheshire, CT, where she attended Cheshire Academy as a “faculty brat” for middle school and high school. Receiving her BA from Clark University, she double majored in Studio Art (with a concentration in printmaking) and English Literature. Terzis also attended Deree Pierce, The American College of Greece in Athens, Greece, from 2000-1, with a concentration in Museology and Linguistics.

After spending three years as a gallery director in New York City’s Chelsea Art District, Lucy decided to make the switch to teaching. With the help of the New York City Teaching Fellows Program, she received her Masters of Education from the City University of New York and obtained her Special Educators License from the state of New York. Lucy has worked in public schools in NYC, charter schools in MA, and an independent arts school in Boston over her ten year career in education. Most recently, she spent four years as the Skills Center Director at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, outside of Boston, MA.

Coming from a rich background of arts education in a variety of different settings, she is excited to continue working with talented youngartists and thinkers at many different stags of their academic development
