Carrie has the unique perspective of working with La Europa for more than seven years in various other roles prior to joining the clinical team, including residential staff mentor. Outside of La Europa, she also has worked as a therapist for adults on probation and parole, youth from leprosy colonies in India, and female survivors of trauma. Carrie is trained in emotional release processing, a type of therapy that uses guided imagery and regression to help individuals process emotion about past experiences. She is also trained in sand tray therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and exposure response prevention. Carrie has a Bachelor’s of Music in Media Music and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

Beyond therapy, Carrie loves working with nonprofit organizations and has served as the director of operations and business development for Promethean Spark International, a New York City-based nonprofit organization dedicated to life coaching through the arts. Most recently, she worked as the development director for Rising Star Outreach, a nonprofit organization that provides medical, educational, and community development help to leprosy affected individuals in India. She loves traveling internationally, singing with her soul band, and spending time with her family and friends.
