At La Europa we use a team approach to treatment to ensure that comprehensive care is being provided. Our treatment team includes:
Each student is reviewed by the whole team twice a month. Therapists meet with the Clinical Director weekly for clinical supervision and students are discussed regularly at that time as well. Extra meetings are scheduled with the team as needed to help students move forward.
As part of our team approach, we schedule a Case Review teleconference with parents every 8-10 weeks after enrollment. The purpose of the Case Review is to discuss the student’s progress on goals set by both the parents and the student. The Clinical Director, Residential Director, Academic Director and Therapist review the goals, the student’s progress, any interventions and then discuss projected completion dates and transition plans. This helps ensure that parents and the treatment team remain focused on the same objectives throughout treatment.
After a student has reached Level 3 at La Europa, the department directors and therapist meet with the student to discuss their progress, update action plans and modify as needed. In these Treatment Team Reviews, we allow the student to reflect on their progress, get valuable feedback from the treatment team and adjust their direction for the future if needed.
