Treatment Team At La Europa Academy, one of our priorities is a strong commitment to working together as a team. We know that change is more likely to occur when all areas of treatment are consistent and are focused on helping each girl achieve the goals she has set out to achieve. It is very important to us that each girl be treated as an individual and that her treatment program and interventions reflect her personal goals. For this reason, we have a weekly meeting for each community, which is called a “Treatment Team” meeting. This meeting includes the Director, Clinical Director, Therapists, Recreational Therapist, Nursing Director, Education Director and at least one of the teachers, Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and the 4 Team Leaders for that community (staff supervisors, who have daily interaction with the students). During this meeting, we talk specifically about each girl and her individual needs. In bringing together this group of people, we are able to assess the consistency of her behavior in all areas of treatment and are able to customize therapeutic interventions specific to each girl.
