La Europa Academy consists of the residential house, the school house, and the office building. Located in the Salt Lake City area, the campus is a short twenty-five minute drive from the Salt Lake International Airport. The location allows for a variety of opportunities for community, service, and cultural activities within a short distance from campus. Nestled among large trees, the grounds are quiet and beautiful, creating a sense of solitude and tranquility that compliments therapy and our emphasis on the fine arts.
The residential house is a beautiful, spacious facility which used to serve as a luxury bed and breakfast. It consists of nine large bedrooms, each of which sleeps three to four girls and has its own bathroom. The bedrooms are as unique as our students, as they are welcome to use their own bedding and to decorate their personal magnet-boards with photos, cards, and thoughts. Also in the residence, a large common area and patio provide space for the girls to unwind and meet together. Meals are prepared in a large kitchen and eaten in a spacious dining area. Students are also responsible for doing their own laundry in the laundry area once each week.
A large home neighboring La Europa's residential facility has been converted into a school that allows for classroom instruction with multimedia access. The school consists of classrooms for English, History, Spanish, and Math, a laboratory for Science, and studios for Art and Dance. The school also includes a computer lab. The grounds for the school also include a tennis court.
The residence and schoolhouse grounds are connected for easy access back and forth to classes. The therapist's offices are located just a few steps down the street. Students come to the office for individual and family therapies. |
