Admissions Process
We want to thank you for visiting our website. Trying to make a decision about enrolling your daughter or family member in residential treatment can be difficult and overwhelming. We would like to try and simplify the process for you.
The best source of information will come from our Admissions Director. You can contact him directly at 801-916-5696 or simply click on the Ask Dave picture below to send him an email. He will do his best to respond within the same business day whenever possible.
Many parents tell us at the beginning “I don’t even know what to ask yet”
Well, you will in time. Our guess is you are already gathering information fast and furious about as many programs as you can find.
Some families find the investigating part so overwhelming they choose to work with an Educational Consultant. An Educational Consultant is a professional whose focus is on knowing about schools and programs all over the country and helping families make the best possible placement for their child. For more information about finding a consultant in your area go to www.educationalconsulting.org.
How do I apply?
We need the following from parents in order to make an admissions decision:
1. A completed application for admission
There are two ways to submit your application:
- You may download the application form, print and fill it out, and fax it to us. To use this method, click here to download the application
- Alternatively, you may fill out the application online by clicking here. You will create an account using your email address that will allow you to log in and out if you need to complete the application in more than one sitting. Your email address is simply your login, and will not sign you up for any email lists.
2. A clinical summary from a therapist who has been treating her recently
3. Psychological/Educational testing (if parents have this information)
These materials can be faxed to 801-268-9303. Attn: Admissions Dept.
What if I have a million questions?
That’s what we’re here for. We will walk you through each and every question until you have enough information to make an educated decision. Make sure you do your homework about La Europa. We want you to know how committed we are about:
• Family involvement
• Quality therapy
• Superior education
• Serving the appropriate student
How long do we have to wait before we know she has been accepted?
Once we have received these items it usually takes no longer than 24 hours for an admissions decision. We will contact you directly.
Can we tour the facility before making the decision?
Absolutely. In fact whenever possible we would recommend touring La Europa. In making a decision about who will care for your daughter for 7-10 months is difficult enough. We want you to see first hand who we are and what we do. Most importantly we want you to meet the girls here at La Europa. Talking to them will go a long way in helping you determine if this is the right place for your daughter.
How quickly can we enroll her after that?
Well, that depends. If we have an immediate opening we can usually accommodate families within 1-2 days after a formal acceptance to La Europa.
What if there are not immediate openings?
Our families can be added to our waiting list. Simply let Dave know you would like to be added to our list. He will explain the process to you. We will let you know the projected date of admission and keep in close contact with you 1-2 times per week with any updates or changes to that date.
Please call or email David Mayeski with any other questions about our admissions process.
